This must-do zipline tour takes place deep in the Cancun jungle at the ecological park of Selvatica, recipient of the coveted World Travel Award for the best adventure park in Mexico and Latin America.
After hotel pickup in Playa del Carmen, arrive at the park's base camp, where you'll receive a safety orientation for your 12-zipline circuit. Get fitted into your gear and practice using your equipment, including a harness and security pulley.
Then head up to your first platform, clip on and leap off! Take in the jungle landscapes as you sail through the canopy on lines covering approx. 1.5 miles (2.4 km) in length. Even veteran zipliners will marvel at the high speeds afforded by the super-thin steel cables. Your guides will assist and travel along the ziplines with beginners and children as needed.
Once you get the hang of it, hang upside down! Look at the rainforest with new eyes as a guide rides with you on the zipline.
Next, board an army truck and take a jaw-jarring ride to an obstacle course. Scale a rock wall and fly down a final zipline into a Mayan cenote and splash into its green waters.
Change clothing in the locker rooms and finish up with a snack and beverage back at the base camp. If you like, peruse the souvenir shop or purchase action shots of your adventure before enjoying transport back to Playa del Carmen.
