After you are picked up from your hotel, you’ll be driven to the Xi’an city wall, one of the best-preserved, oldest and largest ancient defense systems in China. First, admire its different sections on foot. Your guide will take you on a climb to the top of several watchtowers, including the Zhenglu main tower and the Jianlou arrow tower. From this height, enjoy beautiful views of the city and the moat surrounding the wall while your guide shares with you its history and legends.
The exciting part of your tour is up next. Venture away from the crowds as your guide leads you on a 90-minute bicycle tour around the whole wall. Then, after working up an appetite, enjoy a family-style lunch at a local family’s home!
Your satisfying meal will be followed by a visit to the Terracotta Warriors Museum. Wander around the different exhibitions featuring more than 100 artifacts from the mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, and see the Terracotta Army of Warriors and Horses, an incredible collection of life-sized terracotta sculptures.
