Since JeJu Island has mountains and is an island surrounded by Pacific Ocean, all tourists can enjoy hiking, walks along the beach, water sports and visit many JeJu island specific museums such as Teddy Bear museum throughout the year.During this full-day tour you will visit and learn things about JeJu Island that you never knew about before and will be able to get-away from the hustle and bustle of Seoul and enjoy picture-like views and get some fresh air! The pick up points will be “Designated hotels in Jeju only” which will be confirmed individually upon confirming your Voucher.
Your guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby in Jeju-si (except Jungmun and Seogwipo-si) between 9:00~9:30am, depending on your hotel location. Hop on a bus and head over to Jeju Stone Cultural Park located in Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju designed to show the myth of Grandmother and the stones of the Five Hundred Generals – stone and spirit. The collected stones at the park is a representation of JeJu’s foundation and culture.
Seongeup Folk Village located at the foot of Mt. Halla of Jeju Island is a small town that holds a vast amount of culture. Anything that is in this small village is a valuable artifact because the cultural properties in the folk village have been handed down from actual families through generations to generations. After having seasonal local lunch you will enjoy HaeNyeo performance. HaeNyeo literally means “Sea-Women” and they are divers in JeJu island who dive in to the ocean to catch various seafood or oceanic organisms. Then continue on to visit Seongsan Sunrise Peak located on the Eastern end of the JeJu Island, designated by UNESCO as World Nature Heritage in 2007. The Seongsan Sunrise Peak was created over 100,000 years ago due to volcanic eruption.
Afterwards you will visit Manjanagul Lava Tube that stretches for as far as 7.4km which was formed when the lava that was deep in the ground spouts from the peak and flows to the surface. There are rare animals, such as bats, living inside of the tube. Don't forget to look around when you are inside the tube! Finally, you will stop by a Duty Free shop and then transfer back to your designated hotel with the guide.
