The World Peace Pagoda is a Buddhist monument on a hilltop in Pumdi Bhumdi. It is situated at a height of around 3600 feet (1100 m) and was built by Morioka Sonin, a Nipponzan-Myohoji monk, with local supporters under the guidance of Nichidatsu Fujii, a Buddhist monk and the founder of Nipponzan-Myohoji. The shrine was built as a symbol of peace, and has become a famous tourist attraction as it provides a panoramic view of the Annapurna range, Pokhara city and Phewa Lake.

The World Peace Pagoda is a Buddhist monument on a hilltop in Pumdi Bhumdi. The drive will take about 30 minutes.
After you have reached the pagoda, you will have to walk through staircases for about 10 minutes. World Peace Pagoda, a massive Buddhist stupa, is situated on the top of a hill on the southern shore of Phewa Lake. Besides being an impressive sight in itself, the shrine is a great vantage point which offers the spectacular views of the Annapurna range, Phewa Lake, the Pokhara city. The brilliant-white World Peace Pagoda was constructed by Buddhist monks from the Japanese Nipponzan Myohoji organization.
The Peace Pagoda reflects four prominent stages of Buddha's life in four directions: where he was born in Lumbini, where he became enlightened in Bothgaya, where he taught most of his life time in Sarnath, and where he reached nirvana at Kushi Nagar. Reaching this place, you can feel the fresh air of peace and the harmony which helps to refresh your body, mind and the soul.
In the early afternoon, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
