Start with a hostel or hotel pickup at approximately 4pm by a custom built 4wd bus. Travel approximately one hour to the incredible Victorian town of Trentham, where you'll visit the water falls (the largest single drop falls in Victoria) .

After another short trip on the bus, stop to taste the very popular mineral spring water and view historic sites of the Victorian gold rush and colonial development of the area. You'll do all this while traveling by 4WD through the forest on testing tracks. The track traverses the Great Dividing Range which runs from South Australia all the way to Queensland (you won't be going that far).

Stop for dinner (location decided on the day of travel), this could be a barbecue, a home cooked meal or a meal at a local restaurant. This allows time for night to fall and the nocturnal animals of the forest to awaken.

Next, drive through the forest to a number of different locations as you search for animals such as the common bare nosed wombat and the eastern grey kangaroo. This may involve going for a short walk through forest to find these shy creatures. On a good night you will also get to do some star gazing, point out the iconic southern cross, and smell the fragrant eucalyptus trees.

After this, head back to the city arriving at your accommodation at approximately 11pm with your guide ensuring you safely enter before leaving.

The bus holds only 11 passengers, which give this tour a personal touch and allows you to visit many hidden places not frequented by most.
