This escape from the city is an ideal way to experience the natural wonders that make Vancouver one of the most livable cities in the world. Gaze out over ever-changing landscapes surrounding the Sea-to-Sky Highway, with a scenic stop at the 335 metre Shannon Falls. Views of Tantalus Glacier greet passengers en route to Whistler.
Along the way, visit the quaint town of Squamish. Considered an outdoor paradise, for climbers and backcountry adventurers, Squamish if perfectly positioned at the most north easterly point of the Howe sound, offering astonishing views of the mountains and water. There will be a stop at the Squamish Adventure Centre, and then a brief stop nearby in Brackendale for eagle viewing (seasonal) before continuing the journey to Whistler.
The cozy little pedestrian village of Whistler is located at the base of the world-famous Whistler-Blackcomb Mountains. Take time to stroll through eclectic downtown shops and cafes, relax and breathe in the fresh mountain air. If you’re up for an adventure, try the Peak 2 Peak Glacier experience (not included) gliding 436 metres (1,430 feet.) above the ground between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.
Returning to Vancouver, mountains give way to ocean as the coach winds downwards from towering peaks through rugged coastline, back to metropolitan cityscapes.
