In summer bring sunscreen, swimmers and sun glasses and in winter, warm clothing.Your Wineglass Bay day trip departs Hobart at 7.30am and travels east past Hobart Airport and across the Sorell Causeway. Pass through Sorell and Buckland on the way to the first stop at Raspin's beach, Orford. There is a 10-minute stop at this scenic spot to have short walk along the beach and take in the spectacular views of Maria Island National Park.
A short drive to Triabunna to get close up with some Tasmanian wildlife(pademelons), then to Spiky Bridge for a photo opportunity before arriving at The Barkmill Bakery for morning coffee and the chance to taste Tasmania's famous curried scallop pie.
Traveling through more of Tasmania's spectacular scenery, the tour arrives at Coles Bay for a short lunch break. Then, enter the Freycinet National Park. Here, the walk options are explained in detail. The short walk (1.5-hours return) to the main lookout or the longer walk (3 hours return) to the lookout and Wineglass Bay beach. The short walk options also includes visits to Honeymoon Bay and Cape Tourville.
At the completion of the walks, your driver guide will return you to Coles Bay for a 15-minute refueling stop before returning to Hobart at approximately 6.30pm.
