You will be picked up from your Wanaka accommodation in a comfortable, modern air conditioned van.
Your friendly, knowledgeable guide will take to you to four of the best vineyards around the Wanaka and the Central Otago region. Here you will get to sample numerous award winning wines and meet some of the industry's real characters. As you will be going to the smaller boutique vineyards, there is plenty of time to talk to the vineyard owners, and wine makers, and learn about how they produce such gorgeous wines.
The varieties you'll taste include: Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Rose, with a few extra surprises as well.
At one of the vineyards, you'll sit down to a gourmet food and wine match. This includes 3 tasting dishes matched with 3 award winning local wines. All of the food is locally sourced and is cooked in used Pinot Noir barrels which makes this a unique experience.
You will spend around 45 minutes at each vineyard. There is also ample time to stop for photos of the very picturesque Central Otago scenery.
At the end of the tour you will be dropped back at your Wanaka accommodation.
