The former wine farm with a fascinating historical cellar, is the heritage of the noble Guicciardini family who own the property since Medieval time. The wine cellar was reopened together with the Ciappi family, a successful local wine producer. The former wine farm was also a convent of Benedictine monks, dated the end of XIII century with all the buildings preserved and the guest house opened in the former monk`s rooms.
This is a guided tour of the historical 18th century wine cellar in the heart of Tuscany followed by a tasting of a selection of our local DOCG best wines (Chianti, Vernaccia di San Ginignano, Vin Santo and others) plus wide option of Tuscan traditional food and snacks, from antipasto of cheese and ham to the full lunch option with traditional Tuscan dishes.
The wine cellar is located near the famous medieval San Gimignano (10km) in Certaldo, the home place of Giovanni Boccaccio. For big groups, coming with buses, we have a spacious parking.
