A panoramic half-day bike tour from Florence down town up the hills where you'll will visit the gardens and take a sit at the cantina of a historical Florentine villa of the seventeenth century to a wine and olive oil tasting: 4 wines with typical appetizers and extra virgin olive oil.Wine and Bike up the Florentine Hills, we will meet at Signoria Square, one of the most beautiful square of the city of Florence, and start our bike tour.
Your first stop will be Piazzale Michelangelo, better known as the “Balcony” of Florence, the most famous open terrace looking over the city!
Then proceed to San Miniato al Monte: the Romanesque church standing on top of one of the highest points of the city.
To finally reach a historical Florentine villa of the seventeenth century where you will visit the gardens and take a sit at the cantina (cellars) and enjoy a wine and olive oil tasting: 4 wines with typical appetizers and extra virgin olive oil.
It will be now time to go back to Florence cycling down the hill on another panoramic road that made Tuscany so famous: you will be surrounded by olive grove, cypress and antique dry stone walls. You will cross the Arno river on the Ponte Vecchio before returning to the starting point: Signoria Square.
The itinerary is about 18km, difficulty easy-to-moderate, with some hills: this is a relaxing tour so you will bike slowly, the idea is to enjoy the views, the sounds and the perfumes of this unique Tuscan countryside.
