Select a morning or afternoon tour, and then meet your guide at Windsor and Eton train station, approximately 40-50 minutes by train from central London. Put on your helmet, hop on your bike and pedal behind your guide to explore Thames Valley, the area surrounding the royal borough of Windsor.

With its green fields and historical waterfront houses, Thames Valley is an idyllic example of English countryside. Cycle through quaint English villages and soak up the scenery before a refreshment stop at Dorney Court, a Tudor mansion set amid acres of parkland and landscaped gardens.

Feeling rested, continue on to Dorney Lake, a stretch of water that was used in the 2012 Olympics. Hear how Prince Harry honed his rowing techniques on the lake, and learn of the excitement around the time of the Olympics, when the venue hosted thousands of spectators to see rowing and kayaking events.

Pedal back along the traffic-free banks of the Thames River and come face-to-face with a majestic riverside view of Windsor Castle. During a brief stop, listen to fun facts about the royal monument’s history — from its beginnings as a Norman fort through to the present day home of Her Majesty the Queen—and pose for photos with the castle as your backdrop.

From the river, swing past Eton College, where many of Britain’s prime ministers were educated, and then return to central Windsor. Your tour finishes within an easy walking distance of Windsor Castle and the train station.
