After a brief introduction, guests embark on this one-of-a-kind exclusive bus tour in a comfortable air-controlled bus to explore the wonders of Chicago's South Side. During this excursion, guests will learn about and visit some of Chicago's most diverse and historical communities including some of the following; Garfield Conservatory, Illinois Medical District, United Center, Maxwell Street Market, Little Italy, Greektown, Haymarket Riot, S.S. Eastland Disaster, Sears Complex, Douglas Park, "Skid Row", University Village, South Water Market and so much more!

On this unrivaled bus tour, we promise our guests that they will experience and sense the unique texture and diversity of this great city and discover what is truly "Essential" about Chicago's West Side. The West Side often gets a bad rap — known for the 1968 King riots, the traffic jams on the Eisenhower Expressway and pockets of high crime. But it's also an area with rich history, warm neighborhoods and fascinating people.

Join us as we plan to dispel the misconceptions that the West side is primarily a largely poor, crime-ridden area of the city. The West Side has gone through many transitions in its ethnic and socioeconomic makeup due to its historic role as a gateway for immigrants and migrants. We will trace the footsteps of some of the following West Side Alumni including; Jane Addams, Mark Aguirre, L. Frank Baum, Saul Bellow, John Belushi, Frances Xavier Cabrini, Anton Cermak, Kevin Garnett, Benny Goodman, Howlin' Wolf, Ramsey Lewis, Pat Sajak, Horatio Sanz, Ellen Gates Starr, Studs Terkel and Isiah Thomas.

Guests will hear great stories featuring the birthplace of the Maxwell Street Polish Sausage, the most famous clarinetist and band leader in the world, the most celebrated direct-sales entrepreneur "Set-it, forget-it", the epicenter of Chicago Blues and the primary venue of the greatest TV show ever produced!

Tours includes snacks, beverages and fun trivia challenge with prizes.  Restroom break is included halfway.
