A food tour of Copenhagen's newest foodie district. Through delicious samples and home made delicacies we will show you the intricate by ways of Vesterbro and the old Meat packing district. This is a tour through the creative, modern quarter, where the locals hang out. This tour will give you the chance to see the real, unpolished Copenhagen.We start at Vesterbros Torv, not too far from the Central Train Station. From here we will walk into the heart of the famous Vesterbro disctrict. We will see life as it is lived in the very center of Copenhagen and discuss the many changes the area has undergone.
From being the red light district, to becoming the most enjoyable, youthful and alternative area.
Along the way you will see the old cattle market, the red light district, Istedgade and Vesterbrogade.
We will make our way into the Meat Packing district where we will sit down at several of the new restaurants and have open faced sandwiches, some of the best cheese in town and organic nibbles of various kinds.
We will give you an introduction to the history of the area, from the industrial revolution to the most trendy nightclubbing area for the young and fashion conscious.
We will walk along the smaller streets in the neighborhood and taste hand made chocolate and finally we will sit down at perhaps the most famous micro brewery in town.
