This afternoon tour has you visiting Wat Sok Pa Luang while meditating and interacting with the local monks, while enjoying a traditional sauna and a late picnic lunch.
In the afternoon you'll travel out of Vientiane to Wat Sok Pa Luang, a forest temple that is famous for its work in Engaged Buddhism.
Enjoy a relaxing traditional sauna close to the temple before your meditation lesson which starts at 3pm when the temple is at its most peaceful.
You don't need any prior experience as a resident monk will be your teacher for the day. Ask questions, take in the lessons from the monks, and receive a personal lesson in meditation training. Tranquil surroundings and a serene atmosphere provide the perfect environment for you to garner a further understanding of Buddhism and meditation.
Your guide will have brought offerings from Vientiane which you can give to the monks. Return to Vientiane in the late afternoon.
