Hop aboard an eye-catching communist-era vehicle, and then see the sights of Warsaw by night! The fun 3-hour tour includes stops at the Palace of Culture and Science, Warsaw’s main communist streets, the trendy neighbourhood of Praga and three must-visit bars. Live the nightlife like a true Varsovian, enjoying Polish vodka and herring, and hear stories about the city’s culture and history from a local guide. Leave your central Warsaw hotel by hopping aboard a communist-era vehicle – your eye-catching mode of transport for the evening! Meet your friendly guide and then travel around the city, hearing anecdotes about day-to-day life in the city, its buzzing nightlife and of course, its history.

First stop is the Palace of Culture and Science (the PKin building), a hulking Stalinist skyscraper from where the Polish communist party once ruled. Eternally unpopular with the Poles, the building is nicknamed the ‘elephant in lacy underwear,’ a tongue-in-cheek moniker that attests to its size and fancy architecture. Learn about Warsaw during the communist days, and then stop for a beer in a local microbrewery to get your first taste of Warsaw’s burgeoning night scene.

Board your fire engine again, and travel to southern Warsaw, home to the boldest architecture from the communist days. See vast squares and wide streets, lit up by night, while learning about the Belle Epoque architecture that characterized the city before World War II and the onset of communism. Stop in a bar for a shot of Polish vodka washed down with a herring (in true local fashion!), and then travel to the neighbourhood of Praga.

An edgy district, full of bohemian character, Praga is one of the few Warsaw districts to remain unscathed by the Nazi devastation of WWII. Explore its off-the-beaten-path lanes and courtyards, seeing lively cafés spilling out in the streets, and then head inside one of Warsaw’s coolest bars. Down a shot of Polish vodka and chat with your guide about the city, hearing insider tips about places to visit and sites to see. Your tour finishes with a drop-off back at your Warsaw hotel.
