Travel through the town on foot, public transport, and by ferry to get to each location, where you will try every typical snack. Meet your guide in the lobby of your Istanbul accommodations to start the tour. Depart for the port to take a short ferry ride to Kadikoy, where you will sip a glass of tea and feed the seagulls while watching the majestic skyline of the old city. Upon your arrival in the city, your first stop will be Kadikoy's local food and fish markets. Here, you will take a short stroll up the street and past the sidewalk restaurants to shop at a local coffee house. Delight in a Turkish coffee before moving on to the next destination. Next, take a short trip by tram to Moda, where you can enjoy a delicious ice cream or drink of salep.
Next, walk by the tea gardens that lay along the shore front, before you come across Bahariye Street, one of the most famous and busiest clothing and shoe shopping streets in Istanbul. Stop by a dessert specialist to try a Turkish dessert pudding, "tavuk gogsu", a signature dish of Turkey. Afterwards, stop at Yanyali Fehmi Lokantasi, to try foods such as soup, kebabs, and more for a lunch break. Take the ferry again to observe a baklava cooking demonstration, then head to the Egyptian Bazaar for a short tour. For your final stop, visit Haci Bekir Sekercisi, a local sweet shop, where you may have your delights vacuum-sealed for safe transport home. Finish the tour at the Sirkeci tram stop at approximately 5:00pm and independently make your way back to your hotel.
