Tito's bunker in Konjic was a well-kept secret for years, until now! This impressive space lies in about 6,500 square feet of space and about 300 feet deep below the surface. Tito's bunker was built and kept in secret from 1953 to 1979. In case a catastrophe happened, Tito and his closest associates would be sheltered here.
This building, which resembles a maze with more than a hundred rooms and a fully preserved inventory was designed to provide uninterrupted life for 350 people for six months. This bunker is consists of a number of residential spaces, conference rooms, offices and a "presidential bloc." The existence of the bunker was top-secret until the '90s.
