Take a sidecar to visit the old town and go through the local neighborhood and the former French Concession.A sidecar, the motorcycle with a bassinet on the side, tour might be the most exciting way to explore Shanghai. Each bike can fit two passengers, one can sit on the back of the bike, behind the driver, and another can seat in the sidecar.
The tour starts when our local and experienced sidecar driver will pick you up at your hotel in Shanghai down town. Your guide will show you from the inside the city he loves by staying mainly off the beaten track. You can expect to spend about 50% of the time exploring the city by foot. Do not hesitate to tell him what you have already seen of the city, and if you do have any specific place you’d like to see.
If you choose the 2-hour option, you will be able to have about 2-3 stops depends on the timing. Generally, unless you prefer otherwise, after being picked up from the hotel, you’ll visit the old town, the local fridge market and try some snacks at the food street, visit a private art-deco Villa in the former French Concession with a small beautiful garden. Also will add up another possible stop in the former French Concession, a beloved tree-lined neighborhood. The French concession was under French control between 1849 and 1943 until the French government signed it over to the Japanese puppet government.
