Your adventure begins with transportation from Sun Bay to the Bio bay in Vieques, Puerto Rico. The tour travels along a mangrove road until arriving at our launch site. Everyone is outfitted with the necessary safety gear, kayaks and paddles. Guests who need kayak instruction are provided with a brief course by the tour guide. You then venture into the bay, taking in the ecological phenomena and the unique flora of the bay. Once you arrive at the center, your tour guide will provide an entertaining and informative description, as well as pointing out the planets and star constellations in the night time sky. Visit different eco-systems within the bay and enjoy extended free time with this tour. This amazing natural phenomenon is caused by organisms known as dinoflagellates. When these dinoflagellates shake or come into contact another organism they produce a bright burst of blue light that glows in the bay water.
