Make your way to the base camp in downtown Victoria to begin your 3-hour evening kayak tour. Receive a safety briefing from your experienced guide, then slip on a vest and learn basic paddling techniques. Once you're ready, hop into a single or double kayak and follow your guide into the historic waterways of Victoria Harbour.

You’ll stop near several famous landmarks and learn about their history. As you paddle along at a leisurely pace, enjoy the hum of harbor activity. Observe seaplanes, ferries, whale-watching boats, yachts, fishing vessels, tugs and barges that share the waterways. In the background, admire the Neo-Baroque architecture of the BC Parliament Buildings and the majestic Fairmont Empress hotel overlooking the Inner Harbour.

Depending on the weather and harbor traffic conditions, your guide may keep your group in the calmer Gorge Waterway, north of the Upper Harbour. Catch sight of the Johnson Street Bridge, shipyards, stately homes and the reversing falls under Tillicum Bridge. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife as well — eagles and cormorants may soar above, while river otters and seals may sidle up to you. Paddle back to the base camp to conclude your tour.
