Lee hotel: meet your trip leader at 1pm at Union Station or at 1:45 at King Street Metro Station, or drive yourself to the hotel, located in Lexington, Virginia. Check-in after 4pm and then savor a delightful dinner.
On Saturday morning, have breakfast and a meeting at 7am before hitting the trail at 8am. Ride from Lexington to Vesuvius, where you face a 3.5-mile climb of 1,500 feet. Once at the top, join the Blue Ridge Parkway. Stop for a picnic lunch at 12pm while at the Big Spy Overlook and enjoy stunning views of the mountains and valleys. After your break, continue for 27 miles to Pollak Vineyard for your wine tasting at 3pm. Then, take the shuttle back to Lexington at 4pm and sit down to dinner.
On Sunday morning, eat breakfast at 8am and then head for the mountains at 9am. At 11:30am, visit the Natural Bridge and take a break for lunch. Wind your way back to Lexington through rolling hills and along streams.
Your weekend biking adventure ends at 3pm. You can either take the provided transportation or drive yourself back. Challenge yourself and cherish the beauty of Virginia on this wonderful excursion of biking, food, and wine.
