This sea trek gives you the closest sensation to walking on the surface of the moon. With the help of a special helmet that provides air, sea trekkers are able to walk underneath the water with no swimming or SCUBA experience necessary. Anybody ages 8 and up can participate (all participants must weigh at least 80 pounds). Also, guests who wear contacts or glasses will have their heads and faces completely dry and be able to see everything clearly with no blurred vision, stinging or salt water in the eyes.

This tour is conducted by local guides who are also sea trek professionals and is a very fun and safe way to explore the underwater universe.Your sea trek experience begins when you arrive at the Caribe Hilton hotel in San Juan. From the main lobby of the hotel you will gain access to the private beach of the hotel. Upon exiting the main lobby, make a left and locate our sea trek booth right on the sand of the beach. We are the only operator in the hotel so we are really easy to find.
Once you have arrived, you will meet your guides and begin filling out participant record forms. Once completed, we will store your personal belongings within the booth and commence the safety check and orientation. This usually takes 15 to 20 minutes depending on how many questions guests may have. Guides will do the best job they can to explain every single detail of the trip, including safety measures and hand signals. After equipment setup and preparation, you are now ready to enter the water.
The sea trek tour is done within a shallow cove, perfect for beginners since it allows participants to slowly move from the shallow end to the deeper end of the cove. Sea trek is conducted at the personal pace of each guest. The underwater portion lasts 30 minutes, however total time will depend highly on the participant and their level of comfort. The guides will help guests locate sea urchins, starfish, octopus and squids. Depending on the time of year other marine life is present, such as sea horses and marine slugs. Pictures will be taken throughout the entire tour, that can be purchased by guests at an extra cost at the end of the tour.
Upon completing the tour, guests will follow the guide back to the beach where they can talk about their experience, identify marine life on the fish charts and look at the pictures taken at the tour. Bathrooms, changing rooms and shower rooms will be available to all guests after the tour is concluded. Restaurants are also available within and nearby the hotel which you can enjoy at your own leisure. Parking is available inside the hotel and next to the hotel (Aqua Adventure does not validate or pay for customer parking).
