Underground Rivers and Mountain Trekking Tour from Salta

Venture away from the city of Salta to embark on this tour of underground caves and exploration of nature. Trek to the hidden caves to see streams and the formation that has occurred over the years. Discover a local village in La Poma and ride a 4x4 through Lerma Valley over the course of 12-hours.Start your day with a pickup from your central Salta hotel at 8:00am. While en route, cross part of the Lerma Valley in a 4x4 vehicle. Climb 3348 meters up the Obispo Slope as well. The slope lies along the famed Route 40 and is affectionately referred to as "Bishop Slope". Afterwards, you will head down a perfectly straight line through Los Cardones National Park, known as the Tin Tin Straight. The construction of the straight began during the period of the Incas and was finished at a later date.

Next, follow the granaries, Devil's Bridge, where the river plunges Calchaquí by underground caves. There, you will make a short trek, visiting the caves, taking pictures along the way. Take a short break to rest and enjoy a picnic nearby. After lunch, continue the trip to Camp Black Rocks of the Twin Volcanoes. Then, make your way to the old rustic village of La Poma near the Nevado del Acay, standing at 5800 meters high. Head back to Salta, where you will be dropped off at your hotel by 8:00pm.
