Meet your guide at 10:20pm so that you will have enough time to check over your equipment before boarding the ferry for the crossing to Lantau Island. Be prepared for a full night out.
The hike will lead you out through the village of Mui Wo, before you start the steady climb up to Nam Shan, where you will have a final equipment check and time for any adjustments.
There are chances of catching sight of local wild life such as porcupines, boar or even the elusive barking deer. Due to the remote location, the Milky Way can still be observed along with other night sky wonders depending on the time of year.
Onward and steadily upward along the fabulous coastal path which provides great views of Pui O and Cheung Sha by night. The climb gets progressively steeper as you head on past the halfway house pavilion and on past Heaven’s Gate and the final push to the summit. Time for a brew! You will be provided tea and coffee and please feel free to bring your own snacks. Time to enjoy that magical sunrise (subject to the weather condition, no guarantee). You will descend steadily down to catch a bus back to Mui Wo where the hike will finish for you to catch the return ferry to Central. If you wish to have breakfast (at your own cost) in Mui Wo at the end of this hiking tour, your guide can make some nice recommendations for you.
