Don your best ugly holiday sweater and join us on a special walking tour for a little foodie fun! The picturesque town of Niagara on the Lake is decked out for the holiday season. This 2.5-hour tour will include a mix of food tastings at culinary partners and visits to a couple of specialty boutiques to pick up a last minute gift for that hard to buy for person on your list. A prize will be awarded for the foodie with the ugliest holiday sweater.Your guide who will be wearing an ugly holiday sweater, will be there to greet you at your meeting point. You will then begin an interesting, delicious and fun 2.5 hour walking food tour in scenic Niagara on the Lake. The walking tour is roughly a 1 -1.5 miles (2-2.5 km) loop and will focus on the areas around Old Towne.
Enjoy the delectable offerings as we taste some the best dishes in Niagara on the Lake. Food may include seasonal fare such as Irish stew, hot cocoa or curry. Along the way your guide will share a bit of history, culture and entertain you with a few stories. The season brings with it holiday decor throughout the streets and you will be delighted with the old world charm. A twinkling light, a few snowflakes, pine boughs and the scents of spice, oranges and evergreen are all part of the magical experience.
Your guide will also selected a couple of unique boutiques with culinary items where you can find something for the hard to buy for person on your list. Caroling in the streets is optional but very delightful!
The tour will finish within a block of the starting point. By the end of our tour you will be relaxed and filled with new information and a desire to return to this beautiful town.
