A professional and entertaining guide will introduce you to the many fascinating and thrilling features this river has to offer. South Fork has plenty of water released from upstream reservoirs to make your ride wet and wild all summer!Your Two Day trip will meet at River Park Resort in Lotus, California at 10:00AM. Please be ready to raft and dressed in your river attire (shorts, swimsuit, t-shirt and sandals). It's recommended that you eat prior to checking in. After you check in, your guide will inform you of what to bring on the trip and will fit you in your life jacket and other river gear. Once everyone is fitted and signed in, a safety talk is given and paddle instruction will be demonstrated so first-timers will feel comfortable prior to launch.
The first section of river has many beautiful, calm sections where you can practice paddling as a team, swim and cool off. All trips start with a nice warm-up section so your guide can rehearse the simple paddle commands that will be given throughout the day. We recommend that you purchase a bottle of water for the trip from our river store at check-in. Sunscreen and other river essentials are available to purchase when you check in for your trip.
All two day trips will run through the famous "Lower Gorge" section of the South Fork American River on day one and the Upper Chili Bar section on Day 2, These famous sections of whitewater is regarded by many as the best rafting in the west. Big waves and long continuous rapids will surely get you soaking wet and having the time of your life. Our 2 day trips also provide a place for your camping tents, 4 meals and beverages. Souvenirs, Photos, snacks and beverages are available for purchase during your stay. You may also use our hot showers and flush toilets which are available to our guests during your stay at our river camp. Please bring your own camping gear or you may rent tents from us when you arrive.
