Then you enter an enchanting lush, deep wood, fern forest. This is a gentle trail for all skill levels as you meander through the dense fern forest. Listen for the birds singing inviting you into their friendly forest. This trail is about as level as you can get here in the mountains at 4000ft. Keep on the look out for wildlife, since we are in the woods. There is a chance you may see some deer or even a flock of wild turkeys.
This is a 200 acre working horse farm and the Fern Forest Trail travels through the middle of it. Plan at least 2 hours for your total experience as this includes the Safety Program.

- Horses think like little children and expect you to protect them.
- You NEED to know this. Whoever is most stubborn wins. You need to be more stubborn than the horse.
