Enjoy a traditional 45-minute Water Puppet Show in Ho Chi Minh City paired with a serene 1.5-hour dinner cruise featuring the city illuminated against the night sky. The show unfolds on a unique water stage with wooden puppets and depicts folk tales and legends generally surrounding the celebration of the rice harvest and of rural Vietnam. Savor a buffet dinner while sailing on the Saigon River accompanied by live folk music while enjoying views of the city from a different perspective. This 6-hour tour includes an English-speaking guide, private transport with hotel pickup and drop-off, show tickets and dinner cruise.After hotel pickup at 4:30pm, you will head to the theater to enjoy a traditional Water Puppet Show with your guide. Since its first appearance in the 11th century, this art form holds an important place in Vietnam's history. As its name suggests, the show is performed in a large pool using the water as the stage. The puppets generally carved out of wood and handled by puppeteers who control movements using long bamboo rods and a string mechanism below the water surface. Performances mostly tell Vietnamese folk tales and legends with much of it to do with the celebration of the rice harvest depicted in a humorous fashion, but they also are a great way for you to learn about day-to-day living in the rural Vietnam. Shows are accompanied by a Vietnamese orchestra playing traditional music using drums, wooden bells, horns, bamboo flutes and cymbals.

After the 45-minute show, you will be transferred to the dock set on the Saigon River where you will cruise for about 1-hour 30 minutes to see Ho Chi Minh City from a different perspective and illuminated against the evening sky. You will enjoy a dinner buffet while folk music fills the air.

At the end of the tour, you will return to your hotel in your private vehicle.
