This half-day tour will give you a chance to experience the scenic rural life in Hoi An with countryside biking and other fun activities contributing to eco-tourism in Vietnam. Hotel pickup and lunch are included as part of this tour.
Your guide will pick you up at your hotel at 8am by bicycle and you will ride to the pier where you will board a ferry for a 10 minute ride to reach Tra Nhieu Village. Upon arrival, we will continue coast around by bike to explore true rural Vietnamese life.
On the way, we will pass through quiet village roads and shady paths, while taking time to rest in peaceful green fields. It is also a great chance to take unforgettable pictures of natural Vietnamese scenery.
While visiting each village, you can learn how wooden fishing boats are made using traditional methods. You can also experience daily local life by visiting families producing rice paper, making colorful woven mats by hand, or trying several traditional fishing techniques that have been used for many generations.
Then you can have a chance to paddle “Thung Chai” - a special bamboo basket boat iconic of the rural Vietnam life, and make your way through the bamboo bridge, all while experiencing the natural beauty of the water coconut marsh.
At 11:30am you will enjoy lunch with a local family and at 12:30pm you will make your way back to Hoi An Old Town on a picturesque 30-minute boat ride while observing river life on the Thu Bon River. Upon return to Hoi An, your tour guide will take you back to your hotel.
