In a traditional Japanese room, you'll experience the Japanese calligraphy to feel and understand genuine Japanese culture. This lecturer is an expert of the calligraphy who have obtained a master degree in calligraphy. She teaches calligraphy in junior-high and high schools in Japan. You will get a chance to use genuine Japanese art tools during this workshop. As you might know, several kinds of Japanese papers are designated as UNESCO intangible cultural heritage, writing brushes of various materials, ink stone made from Japanese precious stones. While feeling the aroma from a genuine Sumi, a ink stone, you'll write your favorite kanji character and your name on a square piece of fancy paper.
The other option, you can make a Japanese seal out of a stone. This can be used as a signature in Japan. Sealing your work means you've completed your work and show that you accept responsibility for this work. The stamp is made from a stone, so it lasts a lifetime. Also, you can use it for sealing wax, so you can uniquely personalize your letter to your friends and family by sealing a letter with it.
