Would you like to visit the capital of Tirana? And are you a bike lover? The best way to see Tirana is on 2 wheels.
Your tour starts from the Main Boulevard of Tirana, at Skenderbeg Square at 11.00 am. Here you will find the National Theater, Skanderbeg Statue (dedicated to our National Hero), Historic Museum, Cultural Palace, Et’hem Bey Mosque and the Clock Tower.
You will continue pedaling toward the “Pedonalja” where you will see the Castle of Tirana which dates back to the 6th century. During the year gatherings are held in this street with live music and Albanian beer is served associated with “Qofte” (meatballs).
Continue your tour passing by the Parliament, the new Mosque of Tirana which is still under construction (it is going to be one of the biggest in Balkan), Tanners Bridge, Catholic Cathedral and arrive at the Pyramid of Tirana, once built as a museum for the dictator Enver Hoxha.
Again on the main boulevard of Tirana you will see the bunker, a remnant from the communist regime were once were built nearly 700.000 bunkers. One for every four residents.
You will continue through the lively area of Bllok and finish your tour at Mother Tereza Square.
After the tour, you will head to a traditional restaurant where you can try “Qofte” associated with an Albanian beer.
