Your hike begins as you meet your professional guide at a central location in Rio de Janeiro. You will head to Tijuca National Park by private vehicle, where the hiking adventure starts. You will head all the way up to the Tijuca Peak, which is the second highest peak in Rio de Janeiro. The summit is at an altitude of 1,021 meters (3,350 feet).
Your hike will end at a 117 steps stairway which is carved in the gnaisse rock, built many years ago due to the the visit of a European King. On the way, you will make a stop at the Vista Chinesa viewpoint to take some incredible pictures.
From the top, you will enjoy a 360 degree view of the city of Rio de Janeiro and its north, west and south areas. This is a great tour to enjoy a day away from the hustle and bustle.
