Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula offers some of the most scenic and challenging river rafting in North America. On the 3-Canyon run of Sixmile Creek, you and a group of friends will be tested as you navigate this river runner’s dream, descending more than 50 feet per mile as the creek thunders its way down from the Chugah Mountains.
Your trip begins at either 9am or 2pm, depending on which time you choose. After arriving at the facility, you will be fitted with a life jacket, helmet, and paddle and go through a brief orientation to ensure you stay safe while on the water. Then it’s time to climb into your raft and start the fun. Each group will be joined by a seasoned, veteran river guide who will help direct you across the roaring whitewater and thundering rapids as you make your way through the three scenic canyons.
The five-hour experience will cut through old-growth forest filled with abundant wild life including deer, salmon, and even black bears – not that you’ll notice as you make your way through one pounding rapid after another. The difficulty steadily increases as you progress further down the canyon towards rapids with names like "Staircase," "Suckhole," "Merry-Go-Round" and "Jaws". This Class V adventure will challenge even veteran rafters to pay attention and paddle hard to keep the boat pointed in the right direction. Soaked, worn-out and satisfied, you and your group will be transported back to facility where you can recap the fun and share stories of your whitewater adventure.
