This 4-hour tour visits the Abu Simbel temples of King Ramses II and Queen Nefertari from Aswan, via an Egypt Air domestic flight.
Be picked up from your hotel or Nile cruise in Aswan from where you will be transferred to Abu Simbel on an hour flight. There you will see one of Egypt's most famous temples built 3000 years ago to honor King Ramses II and his wife Queen Nefertari. You will see powerful figures of the Pharaoh that stand over 60 feet tall. The temple has remained nearly intact over the ages and was rescued from the rising water of Lake Nasser by a team of UNESCO by moving the entire structure in 1964 to 1968.
The flight takes about an hour, and the sightseeing visit of the temple lasts about one and a half hours. At the end for the tour, you will be transferred back to Aswan by air, then back to your hotel or cruise ship.
