Your fun-filled night out in Taipei begins with pickup from select city hotels. From there, you’re whisked away to your first activity: shrimp fishing. Inside a brightly lit room not far from the karaoke hall, cast your fishing pole into a water-filled pool. Your guide will introduce the activity and be on hand to help out.
Once you’ve caught enough jumbo shrimp to fill your appetite, they're cleaned and tossed on the grill for your consumption. Wash down your scrumptious meal with a cool Taiwanese beer (or non-alcoholic beverage) and watch this entertaining cultural spectacle that’s unique to Taiwan.
Shrimp fishing isn’t the only popular recreational activity in Taipei. After 1.5 hours of fun, head to a nearby venue for another 1.5 hours of karaoke. Tucked into city high-rises, these singing havens come replete with Chinese and western food and drink options along with an impressive selection of tunes.
Assemble with your group in a luxury private room, where you can use the phone to order Cantonese dim sum, noodles, rice, beverages and more (meal voucher included; additional food and drinks at own expense). Then choose from an array of American songs (in English) and Taiwanese tunes (in Mandarin Chinese), belting out your favorites or clapping along with friends old or new during your song session.
