Meet your boat at King St Wharf to begin with a 45-minute cruise around Sydney Harbor, getting a close look at Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Watsons Bay and other highlights.
Once you have seen the harbor, set out past Sydney Heads to the open ocean. As you travel south, your captain points out landmarks such as the white sands of Bondi Beach, and the Bare Island Fort that British colonists built to protect Sydney from a feared Russian invasion in 1885.
Continue south to see the first Australian landing site of Captain Cook, who dropped anchor in 1770 on a beach that is now part of Kamay Botany Bay National Park, about nine miles (15km) south of Sydney’s city center. Depending on the conditions, your boat might also stop in Botany Bay.
Around 1pm, dock at Bundeena for a delicious lunch at a bayside restaurant that boasts stunning views of Cronulla, Port Hacking and the city skyline. After a relaxed meal, return to your boat to head to Jibbon Beach, located within Royal National Park. Disembark on this fantastic stretch of sand and enjoy about an hour to swim and explore. A short walk leads you to a large rocky outcrop with ancient Aboriginal carvings depicting both marine and land animals.
Throughout the day, your captain shares informative commentary with your small group, which is limited to 30 people. A hearty lunch (sample menu in Itinerary), and water are provided during your excursion. The exact itinerary may change depending on the day’s conditions; either way, you’re sure to have an amazing day discovering the coast around Sydney.
In the late afternoon, your captain returns you to Kings Street Wharf to conclude your tour.
