Travel Day: Barrington Tops — Spot X Surf Camp
In the morning we take a guided walk to check out the amazing wildlife all around including kangaroos, platypus and a wide range of bird life.
Visit a koala hospital to learn about their efforts in preserving koalas and what you can do to help, then travel on to the waterfront accommodation at the Spot X Surf Camp, arriving in the early evening.
Travel Day: Spot X — River Retreat
This morning you'll have the chance to relax or participate in beach activities. In the afternoon, depending on the weather we either snorkel in the Solitary Islands Marine Park or have a walk through a kangaroo sanctuary before heading to the River Retreat. Camp beside the river for the night, join in a game of volleyball or petanque, or just relax around the campfire.
Travel Day: River Retreat — via Spot X — Byron Bay
Leave the camp early and head up towards Byron Bay, Australia’s famous surf and arts town.
Free Day in Byron Bay
Explore, learn to surf, party, visit the alternative town of Nimbin (extra cost), or just relax and take in the laid-back, hippy vibe. Taking a walk to the lighthouse to view the Australian mainland’s most easterly point is recommended.
Travel Day: Byron Bay — Brisbane
We stop at the NSW/QLD border for a walk at Danger Point. Continue to the Gold Coast where you have the option to hop off, and then onto Brisbane.
