If you adore beach buggy driving and are interested in reptiles, then this desert safari in Hurghada is your best bet. Live like a Bedouin for a few hours including eating their traditional dishes. Practice some of their daily routines and take a walk in their shoes.
You will be picked up from front of the entrance of your Hurghada hotel to be transferred in a jeep to the Bedouin zone. Observe the mirages, even take a moment to watch them outside of the vehicle. It is optional to descend the cruiser to climb a high mountain (Raml Mountain or Balcony Mountain) if you want bird’s eye view of the extended desert.
Once you get back in the jeep, head to the beach buggy station. Begin 45 minutes of your buggy safari, where you have an unforgettable experience of driving high speeds over smooth sand. Cover your face with a scarf and think of nothing but the excitement of your journey.
Afterwards, meet and greet the friendly Bedouin families before entering a tent. Here, you will sit around a small table and drink the famous Bedouin tea, and if you like, enjoy water pipe while talking to them about their life and traditions.
Walk to another spot to find out how they make remedies from herbs and desert plants. Continue walking to watch how a Bedouin woman cooks and kneads the Bedouin bread. Then stop at a deep well and join a Bedouin group who are trying to lift the mineral water manually with ropes. Help them and pull the ropes if you want to try.
Next, rest your feet and hop onto the hump of an Arabian camel. Take a leisurely tour around the village and compare the different sizes and colors of the tents. Do not go back to the tent until you feast your eyes on the charming view of sunset. You are invited for a Bedouin BBQ where you eat food cooked on the Bedouin way and served as open buffet.
Again, make your way back to the jeep to stop at the reptile's house where you see a various collection of reptiles native to the desert. See snakes, lizards, chameleons and many others. Once your tour of the reptile's house is over, begin to head back to your hotel.
