The tour lasts about two hours in company of an instructor and environmental guide. The tour will make you visit one of the most fascinating small harbors in the world by a unique perspective and in a totally sustainable way.Starting on the beach, the instructor shows the marine itinerary and points out the most interesting geo-naturalistic spots. The guide will also show the paddling technique and the basis of paddleboard. The course will continue into the water during the marine trekking.
Sliding on the sea with the board, Niasca’s bay will be left behind while we reach the extraordinary panorama of Paraggi’s Gulf, forbidden to boat traffic and ideal place where to take confidence with your SUP. Reach Portofino’s harbor, where the curious ones may paddle through the traditional ligurian fisherman’s boats. Leaving behind any worries and with no rush, we paddle until Olivetta, a small beach dominated by centuries-old maritime pines. Here starts a coast-line rich in caves and creeks inaccessible to any motor-boat, but only reachable with our SUPs. In this particular unspoiled stretch of coast, it’s possible to sight a great variety of fishes, among which grey herons, cormorants and dolphins.
The famous Portofino’s Lighthouse in front of us indicates us the direction, as well flashing the way to sailors. Past the Lighthouse, the landscape changes and any civilization trace is lost leaving space to 'wild' nature. Here, where the lighthouse divides the southern part from the eastern part of Portofino’s Promontory, we can have a refreshing swim before paddling back towards Niasca, where, on its beautiful terrace facing the sea, a traditional tasting of typical food and organic biological wine, both from Liguria, is waiting you to restore your energies.
