Start your morning with a one-of-kind sunrise hot air balloon ride outside of Albuquerque. Take in the beautiful early morning light as you gently float over the Rio Grande valley and snap photos of the gorgeous landscape as the sun creeps over the Sandia Mountains. This professionally piloted, 3 ½ hour long hot air balloon ride gives allows you to experience the area around Phoenix in a way few others ever get to – floating thousands of feet up in the air!
This early morning hot air balloon ride starts at 5:30 am before the sun rises to ensure a truly memorable experience for everyone involved. After meeting at the corporate office to check in and review the safety procedures, you will be driven in one of the operator’s balloon chase vehicles to a launch site to begin the inflation process. This tour allows you to be hands on and gives you the opportunity to take part in the process of launching and piloting the vehicle. You FAA-certified balloon pilot will guide you through the process, showing you how the balloon quietly fills and becomes airborne and letting you take part in navigating your basket and heating the gas.
Once airborne, you will be treated to majestic views of the Sandia Mountains and the Rio Grande Valley surrounding Albuquerque. Snap photos as the sun rises and fills the valley, flooding the landscape with subtle shades of changing light and breathtaking colors. As you quietly float in the air, you will experience a sense of calm and peace as you take in the view in a way no airplane or helicopter can offer.
As your 3 ½ flight winds to a close, your pilot will slowly lower the balloon back to earth, gently placing you back on the ground to be picked up by one of your operator’s chase vehicles. After returning to the office, you will receive a celebratory toast and post flight refreshments along with a flight certificate to celebrate your recent experience.
