It doesn't require previous experience and the descent is made aboard the famous Sugar Loaf cable car.Sugar Loaf is one of the famous tourist attractions in Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. On this tour, you will climb it through the natural environment. This is a privilege that few people get to experience. The hiking and climbing of Sugar Loaf begins on Claudio Coutinho pathway, where after 20 minutes walking you reach a beautiful viewpoint of Guanabara Bay and the city of Niterói. From there, a more technical hike begins, alternating stretches of dirt, stone ramps and some beautiful lookouts.
The more vertical section of the tour has about 20 meters high and is considered entry-level climbing. All safety equipment is included in the tour. After overcoming the small climbing section, another technical hike to reach the observation plateau called the Philosopher's Stone, which has magnificent views of Copacabana Beach, Pedra da Gavea and Two Brothers Hill. From Philosopher's Stone, you'll continue our hike up to the top of Sugar Loaf.
The return is aboard the Sugar Loaf cable car, which brings you to Morro da Urca plateau, first level of the complex, before hiking down the trail to return to the starting point.
