Cover a broad range of topics including historic homes, African American history, important women, the Civil War and the American Revolution. The tour begins at 9am, where you will learn about Mary Telfair, one of the most important people in Savannah's history. You will then learn a great deal about the city's antebellum African American history as you wind through Franklin Square and City Market.
Next, the tour heads up Bull Street and makes a stop at Wright Square Cafe and Chocolatier for the group to enjoy refreshments. On Sundays, the cafe of choice is Gallery Espresso at Chippewa Square. After the break, it's anybody's guess! The guide may take the group east to Abercorn Street or continue further south down Bull Street, depending on what guests have expressed a desire to see. No canned routine here! Your guide is responsive to your interests and no two tours are ever the same.
Your tour concludes around noon so you have plenty of time left in the day to visit the myriad other attractions in Savannah or take it slow and head to lunch.
