This unique 90-minute "Talking Trees" walking tour starts at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm every morning and takes place in Stanley Park, the heart of Vancouver. Your guide will be waiting for your arrival near the Mini Train Station but more to point, in between the parking lot and the bus stop at the interpretive sign/map.

On your tour, your cultural guide will share, via aboriginal  protocol, the background and history of Stanley Park. Learn about the history of Coast Salish First Nations people from time and immemorial up to the shared history with the first settlers of this area.

Each guide is an ambassador from a First Nations tribe. They will share their own family history and background in addition to the interpretation, as it is considered respectful to share who you are. Your guide will then bring you to the base of the trail where you will enjoy your interpretive tour of the forest as you walk around Beaver Lake.

Altogether, the walk is just under 2km and it's recommended you bring comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. This tour is a leisure walk packed with great stories, history and cultural-eco interpretation. By the end of your trip, you will gain a deeper and profoundly rich understanding of the history of the First Peoples. Your guide will accompany you back to the starting point so that you can catch a bus or cab, or go to your vehicle.

This is a tour for all ages, history buffs and people who enjoy culture and nature.
