See St Lucia’s scenic west coast, including the UNESCO World Heritage–listed Pitons, on this full-day family-friendly catamaran tour. Cruise to the town of Soufriere, home to natural attractions like a waterfall, botanical garden and Sulphur Springs, a dormant volcano with mineral pools and mud baths. Have lunch at an old sugar plantation, enjoy photo ops of Marigot Bay and go swimming in the clear water of the Caribbean. Hotel transportation from the northern part of the island is included. After pickup from the island’s northern hotels, head to the marina for your catamaran tour down St Lucia’s west coast.

On board the boat, sit back and enjoy the sea breeze while admiring views of the turquoise water meeting white-sand beaches. As you near the town of Soufriere, catch your first glimpse of the island’s famous Pitons — Gros Piton and Petit Piton — a pair of World Heritage–listed volcanic plugs that create a dramatic, mountainous landscape.

In Soufriere, go ashore to visit some of St Lucia’s most popular natural attractions, including a waterfall, a botanical garden and the famous Sulphur Springs, often known as the ‘world’s only drive-in volcano’ because of the easy vehicle access to the middle of a dormant volcano. Check out the pools of bubbling water or treat your skin to a mineral-rich mud bath. Then continue to Morne Coubaril Estate for a look at a historical St Lucia sugar and cocoa plantation where you can stroll around the grounds and taste fresh cane juice.

Next, relax over a buffet lunch of St Lucian-Creole cuisine at the plantation's open-air dining room (see sample menu below), and then hop back on the catamaran for the return journey to the marina, stopping along the way to swim in a secluded cove and get a good view of Marigot Bay — often considered one of the most beautiful bays in the Caribbean.

When the swimming is over, get into the party spirit for the rest of the cruise with lively Caribbean music and rum punch on board. Throughout the cruise, water and soft drinks are provided, and beer can be purchased.

Sample buffet lunch dishes (subject to change):
  • Fried fish
  • Baked chicken
  • Vegetables and local peas
  • Seasoned rice
  • Salad
  • Bread
  • Juice and dessert made from fruit grown on the estate
  • Available for purchase: Ice cream and a limited selection of soda and alcoholic beverages
