Finish the day with a snorkel near Petit Piton and watch a spectacular sunset during a catamaran cruise.After a morning pickup from your North Island hotel, your full-day tour begins with a scenic catamaran cruise south to Soufrière (a light breakfast is provided on board). From there, take transport to Hotel Chocolat Boucan, located on the Rabot Estate dating back to the 18th century. At the hotel, marvel at its prime views of Petit Piton, a cone-shaped mountain rising out of Soufrière Bay, part of the Pitons Management Area designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Visit the on-site cacao plant nursery and enjoy a presentation of how cacao is harvested and produced. Then, make your own bar of chocolate using estate-grown cacao.

Next, stroll over to an open-air pavilion for a gourmet lunch at the hotel’s top-rated restaurant, where all the dishes are prepared with cacao or chocolate. Your sweet and savory lunch includes two courses and a juice. Depending on availability, your meal may include pork, chicken breast, fish or vegetables spiced with roasted cacao nibs. Want more? Try cocktails, sorbets and ice cream with a fresh tangy cacao flavor (own expense).

After your leisurely meal, head to the dormant Mount Soufrière, considered the world’s only ‘drive-in volcano,’ and site of Sulphur Springs. Ease yourself into one of the natural mud baths, the volcanic minerals rejuvenating your skin, and then wash off in a pool of warm springwater.

With your skin aglow, return to the catamaran and sail to the base of Petit Piton. Jump in for excellent snorkeling in a protected reef and coral garden, teeming with colorful reef fish and five-finger corals.


Then, watch a stunning sunset as you set voyage back to port. Your tour ends with drop-off at your North Island hotel.
