Leaving the Rodney Bay Marina we motor out into Rodney Bay, head to the wind and pull up the main sail, then bear away towards to Pigeon Island National Park hoisting the jib and getting under full sail. The sailboat will pass close to Pigeon Island in order for you to see the remains of Fort Rodney and head south towards Port Castries the Capital of St Lucia.
Because you will be on an authentic sailing vessel your day will be controlled by the wind and sea; the strength of the wind dictates how far the staff can sail. Most of the time, you will not sail much farther than Castries before turning North again and heading to a favorite secluded cove for some time at anchor to enjoy the swimming and snorkeling. Enjoy a drink and some snacks whilst relaxing on deck and taking in the ambiance of being aboard an authentic piece of local maritime history - The Carriacou Sloop - Good Expectation - one of the last remaining original inter-island trading sloops, lovingly restored and converted for day sailing. This boat really is the destination, you are not on a fast paced island tour seeing numerous sights to tick off the list. This is serious laidback sailing... you are guaranteed to return to shore relaxed, invigorated and in love with a life on the Caribbean Sea!
