On this 5-hour tour you can get a taste of St Lucia as you sample local fruits and get a visit to Lucian country life which is a historical heritage site. Visit the island’s rum distillery, and get a feel for the mix of the history, culture and natural flavors of the island.This easy going tour unfolds through the northeast of the island, where you will be driven through rural countryside before enjoying a 30 to 40 minute walk through a heritage site, discovering the various trees, plants and some species of birds before sampling freshly picked local fruits. In the Creole House you can see how some local dishes are made and you will have the opportunity to taste some of the dishes.
The tour will continue on to the distillery as you pass through the countryside while your guide provides an insight to the history and culture of the different communities. The distillery tour will be more than a lesson in how rum is made, you will also gain an insight into the role it played in the community and you will have the opportunity to visit the carnival room for your own mini carnival experience. The culmination of the distillery visit will be the tasting bar, where you can put your tasting skills to the test as you sample internationally award-winning rums! At the distillery it is possible to purchase at factory prices where your items are packaged to allow you to carry in your checked baggage.
Last but not least you will stop at Marigot Bay where you will have time to just sit and enjoy a complimentary drink, while soaking up the atmosphere.After Marigot Bay you will be taken back to you north island hotel.
