Private excursion to Split from Dubrovnik with the Mercedes E-class luxury sedan or Mercedes Vito/Viano van.
Stop at the Bacina lakes before arriving to Split to visit the old city to see the Peristyle, St. Duje's Cathedral, Diocletian's mausoleum, and much more. The city of Split is famous for its 1700 year old Diocletian's Palace, home to the Roman emperor and his military. Although resembling a fortress, the 'palace' is enlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage site due to it being one of the most significant original structures of late ancient architecture. Today it is Split's center, allowing it to be one of the major tourist destinations in Croatia. Departing from Dubrovnik on a private excursion along the Dalmatian coast, there is time for a detour to a viewing point of the ravishing Bacina lakes. After enjoying a panoramic view of the picturesque landscape, the drive continues towards Split, where a private guide is available upon request. Once arriving in Split's Old Town, there is much to see such as the Peristyle (the central square inside the palace), St. Duje’s Cathedral (patron Saint of Split), Diocletian’s mausoleum, Jupiter’s temple, Vestibul, the Golden Gate, Diocletian’s underground basements and waterfront, and other important historical and cultural sites. Lunch and free time proceed the tour of Old Town Split before going on an optional visit to the famous Vranjaca Cave nearby. Discovered in the 19th century and open for visitors since 1929, it is one of the most famous and well preserved natural caves in Croatia, and is filled with numerous pillars, arches, stalagmites and stalactites. Touring this natural wonder is the last attraction on our journey before departing back towards Dubrovnik where this exciting tour ends.

Although your driver will not be accompanying you beyond the vehicle, he will act as a guide during the driving portion of your tour, and will be waiting until you are finished exploring at the destination.
