This private tour is taking place outside Bucharest and is especially designed for active travelers with an interest passion for outdoor activities. During this one day trip you will have the opportunity to take on an easy hike at the heart of one of the most beautiful mountains in Romania and enjoy an astonishing panoramic view over Prahova Valley as well as visit one of the most staggering castles in Romania.
In the morning your private tour guide will pick you up in the morning from your hotel in Bucharest and you will depart towards the north to the Carpathian Mountains. After a scenic drive along the Prahova Valley you will have a stop in the town of Sinaia in order to admire the Peles Castle which is the royal residence of King Charles I of Romania.
Later on you will leave Sinaia and start a hiking trip in the Bucegi mountains, reaching altitudes of over 2200m (7200ft). During this 3 to 4 hours easy hike you will enjoy two of the most iconic landmarks of Bucegi Mountains.
Babele & the Sphinx are probably the most visited natural monuments in Romania assembling a mysterious place where the mystic and the reality collide.
Caraiman Homeland Heroes Cross is another emblematic monument constructed in 1928 and has been was listed in the Guinness Book as the largest summit cross in the world in the year of 2013, being ranked as 39.5-m-tall (129-ft 7-in) and located at over 2200m (7200ft) altitude.
On the way back towards the car there will be a quick stop to a mountain chalet in order to recharge the batteries and be delighted by the tasty local cuisine.
In the evening, after a rather long day, visiting the most beautiful castle in Romania and hiking in the Carpathian Mountains the one day trip will end in Bucharest and you will be dropped off at your hotel by your tour guide.
