Tour the popular South coast of Iceland with Iceland's diverse nature at its best: glaciers, cliffs, waterfalls, black beaches. Skógar folks museum (or in Summer months (June-August) with Horseback riding).Main Sights:
On this tour you will travel East along Iceland´s South shore and visit two magnificent waterfalls. Seljalandsfoss, a tall, thin 239-foot beauty you can walk behind, and Skogafoss, a 196-foot roaring giant that you can approach, as close as you dare. There is also the beautiful black sand Reynisfjara Beach, Iceland´s Southern most point with magnificent sea caves to explore. Basalt columns rocks surround the beach and you have the view to a stunning sea stack (rumored to be one of Trolls playing in the sea but caught in the rising sunlight turning to stone). In mid-summer, we will possibly see puffins, a unique and very photogenic sea bird, at amazing rock formations at Dyrhólaey cliffs. We´ll also visit the glacier snout of Solheimajökull, an ever-changing and moving natural wonder.
The tour includes visit of Skogar folks museum. In Summer (June - August), optional Horseback riding is available instead of Skogar museum. Duration of horseback riding is 1 hour. Horseback riding is suitable for all levels and all equipment is provided.
